Can you believe it’s October? This year has FLOWN by. I suppose while we’re on the subject of time flies, now would be the perfect time to introduce an amazing watch brand who I’m going to be working with over the next few months…

Nordgreen Watch on wrist

Who are Nordgreen?

Nordgreen is a Danish brand that was founded by lifelong friends, Pascar and Vasilij. Working closely with award-winning Bang & Olufsen designer Jakob Wagner, they’ve designed a beautifully minimal and functional timepiece collection. Not only are they creating beautiful watches, but they’re also making some serious commitments to social responsibility and environmental sustainability through their giveback program.

If you want to order one for yourself, or as a gift for a loved one, you can use the discount code “COUNTRY” for 15% off.

For every watch purchased, Nordgreen donates a percentage of the proceeds to support a global charity initiative. Actions like these show how deeply the Scandinavian value of helping others is embedded in the company ethos. As a customer you’re given the unique opportunity to make a real difference by choosing one of the following causes to support;

  • Give 2 months of clean water to a person in Central Africa
  • Give 1 month of education to a child in India
  • Preserve 200sqft of rain forest in Latin America

Philosopher Watch Review

I really value brands that make commitments to such important causes so it’s a pleasure to be working with Norgreen and (hopefully) spreading a little brand awareness. They have kindly sent over a watch for me to review so I’d best stop the waffling and get on with that!

Nordgreen’s women’s watches are split into three collections; Native, Philosopher and Infinity. I opted for the Philosopher model with the 36mm silver case and dark brown leather strap. While it is a minimalist watch, Nordgreen have added a few design features that really make this model unique. The two-piece dial and asymmetric second hand combine to make the most beautiful watch face. Plus it’s even got a handy date feature – perfect if like me you’re losing track of days this year!

Nordgreen watch in recyclable packaging

The watch arrived in really minimal packaging, all recyclable – even the felt inside the box is made from recycled plastic which gets a big thumbs up from me! Each watch comes with a 2 year warranty, certificate of authenticity and a manual neatly folded inside a small pouch.

The Philosopher retails at £164 and is available in four colours – silver, gold, gun metal and rose gold. The straps are easily interchangeable and you can choose from; Italian leather, vegan leather, high-grade nylon and stainless steel depending on your preference. There is also a 40mm dial available if you prefer a larger watch.

I’m so glad I opted for a brown leather strap. It’s absolutely stunning, timeless and hasn’t left my wrist since it arrived. As with any leather product, it does need to break in a little bit to soften around my wrist but I’m sure that won’t take long! I really hope my photos do the watch justice because it’s such a beautiful piece.
